Position: Youth Engagement Worker:
As a Youth Engagement Worker, you will be critical in empowering young people and their
families by coordinating impactful programs, fostering meaningful connections, and facilitating
access to essential resources. You’ll work closely with youth, community partners, and other
stakeholders to ensure the success of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement youth programs, outreach activities, and events.
- Build strong relationships with African and Caribbean Black youth and their families
- Develop and execute strategies to engage diverse youth populations through marketing,
communications, and outreach. - Conduct research and create content for digital media platforms to promote programming
and initiatives. - Serve as a connector between youth and community resources, social services, and other
support systems. - Collaborate with team members to identify and address the community evolving needs.
- Maintain program records, track participation, and report outcomes.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Community Development, Social Work (SW), Social Service Work
- (SSW), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years experience working with African and Caribbean Black youth and
- their families.
- Proven experience in program coordination, outreach, event planning, or youth
- development.
- Strong marketing, communications, and outreach skills, with the ability to connect with
- diverse youth populations.
- Proficiency in research, content creation, and digital media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving
- environment.
- Familiarity with Brampton and knowledge of community resources and social services
- available to youth (residency in Brampton is an asset).
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (preferred).
- Clear Criminal reference check and valid CPR/First Aid
